We live in a time of constant change and the chaos of our world is trying on all of us, but most especially families, and families of color in particular. This curriculum is designed to help families bond together with other families to support one another through the changes and pain of our world today.

It includes four sessions of interactive, multigenerational worship and faith development around living in a world of constant change and building resilience for the hard work ahead. Using the book, We Rise, We Resist, We Raise our Voices as readings along with creative activities for sharing and expressing emotions with the goal of healing, rising up and making change for the better. Designed to be offered online.

Each session contains worship elements including chalice lightings, prayers, songs and meditations, some with movement. Each session also offers a chance for faith development through personal reflection and creative exploration. All sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging for people of all ages.

Objectives of This Program

• To support families through times of chaos, social unrest for justice, and the unknown future

• To explore how we can work for positive change in the world

• To build resilience for the hard work that lies ahead

A kit of supplies will need to be created and shipped to families in advance or through a social-distancing curbside pickup. A list of supplies for the kit is included within the curriculum along with step-by-step instructions for the creative exploration activities.
